@597404 Picked up 2 rolls of landscape cloth yesterday. No idea what I’m going to do with them yet but I have them.

RE: Small Kitchen Electrics for $2 or Less AC & MIR & $15 KC & Y2Y & FS @Kohls.com thru Nov 24
@tuskers Discover gives its cash back if you go through Discover.com vs. going through ebates.com or ShopAtHome.com or TopCashBack.com or Plenti.com, etc. You can only go through one site.

@tuskers Sure you can mention them but I don’t use that company.
I’ll use Discover and its in my math-- “5% on $200 from Discover” -
RE: PetSmart Black Friday 2017 Ad Scan
@lisaes98 If you use the $20/$60 coupon that’s out right now and buy 5 it brings the price to the same as the BF price and you can check that off your list sooner.

RE: Rite Aid Black Friday Ad Scan 2017
@mrvietnam Its not good on BF but it will work just fine on Senior Day and FNF 30% off day.

@ritholtz I thought the regular one was for being a new customer.

@jmc I’d like to get 6 at each price point, no more than 5 of one item.
6 @ $21.99 = 131.94
6 @ $19.99 = 119.94- 15% = - 37.78
total oop $214.10
Earn $60 Kohls Cash, $144 back in rebates and $10 (?) in Yes2You = $214
Can I stack the $10/$30 from Discover?
Would lower the oop but doesn’t change the KC and would still get $10 in Yes2You.
Would make it $10MM + 5% on $200 from Discover ($10) for $20 MM? - 15% = - 37.78

@fivetalents IIRC the more you buy the lower your net cost. Of course that assumes you can unload the appliances. I’ve had crock pots, toasters, blenders & coffee makers at yard sale for years. I think I’m getting Panini makers, toaster ovens and waffle makers this year.

@fivetalents Limit 5 rebates per product per household means one could get 5 mixers, 5 crock pots, etc. That’s what I’ve done in the past. Hmmm. Maybe go for 12 products, $200… I have Kohls gc purchased with SYWR points at RA… I think that’s what I did last year, ~ $200 worth.

@kohlspowrshopper I remember doing this last year and ending up with a bunch of Kohl’s cash which I then used to buy a Cuisinart Pressure cooker for next to nothing. IIRC I ordered ~ $100 in small appliances to maximize Kohls Cash.
Do I have this correct? Spend $100 on appliances, get back $72 in rebates, $30 in KC and $5 in Y2U?
In the past I’ve ordered online to pick up in a no-sales tax state.

@597404 could this thread be added to the YMMV forum?

RE: 1¢ Staples® 8.5" x 11" multipurpose paper, ream, after easy rebate and with coupon exp 11/22
@stolat slim to none. They’ve had other 3 day coupons in the past and they’ve expired without grace.

RE: Macy's 2017 Black Friday Ad
@mrsguin If you are in an area that is losing its Rite Aids, the FAR stuff on front page is a nice way to cash out Plenti Points.

RE: BUZZ CLUB (Big Lots) Improvements, get $5 reward with every 3 purchases, plus other perks
@lorenw not until BF at the earliest.
Acct showed I’d earned 3 Rewards. Now it only shows 2. I’m hoping that the 3rd is on deck to be issued.
This is a very slow program. -
RE: How to visit the U.K.?
@frett You really need to narrow down what you want to do. You can’t do it all in one trip.
I’ve done several “types” of UK trips.- London alone - usual sights and maybe a day trip
- Hotel in London but ignoring London sights and just taking day trips using terrific train system: Stonehenge, Cambridge, Bath, Stratford on Avon, Windsor, Hampton Court, etc. Spent a day in each. Rail stations are in the middle of town. No car needed. If you want guided tour TripAdvisor.com has links.
- Theatre. Stayed in London for a week and went to the theatre twice a day. Really. Unlike the U.S. where matinees are only on Weds, Sat or Sun., matinees are on different days in London. I found matinees for each day of the week then filled in evening performances.
- Landed in London then took train north to Edinburgh stopping at a few towns along the way, spending a day in those towns.
I can’t say enough about train system. I spent 4 mos traveling around Europe by train. Can’t imagine wanting to rent a car. Most locals travel by train. Its American mind-set that have to have a car because US doesn’t have the infrastructure-- and its too big.
Street corners in London have “look right” painted on the road for tourists.
Indian food in London is good and really hot. Consider having high tea instead of evening meal. Have a ploughman’s lunch in pub. Of course fish & chips if you like fish. These things are all cheap. Window shop but don’t buy at Fortnum & Mason or Harrod’s. Unless you’re staying in a B&B, make your own breakfast in your room. I travel with coffee (either a small Melitta & grounds or instant) and pick up fruit/scones at local supermarket. Shopping local is fun. To make the most of my money, I spend it on stuff that’s more important-- not breakfast & lunch. -
