@mistercheap Yes, they’re made in Japan. But not sold in the US anymore (CVS gave too many away I guess).

RE: UPDATE! BEWARE: CVS 30% off Email Coupons/Some Kiosk Q's - sort of a rip off
Years ago CVS had maybe the most liberal coupon policies of any retailer, as well generous ExtraCare reward offers, including allowing “point rolling”. I remember $20 free groceries offers, perpetual free Soy Joy bars, “make money” deals, and so on. Then some deal-hounds made themselves duplicate accounts to really reap it in. Things have gone south since. For reference: see The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs

Lol, bicycles already have a top tube. This is mostly for a “women’s frame” bike, which are questionable enough to start with! Unless you bike in your prairie dress, of course.

RE: Lowe's to sell Craftsman tools (Sears inches closer to abyss?)
@briarycliffs I agree about Kobalt tools, for the most part. They include a few gimmicky multi-purpose tools too, but not as many as Craftsman does (think “Extreme”, “Mach” and so on). Clunky and awkward, “solutions” in search of a problem…

RE: Case (10 reams) Boise X-9 Multipurpose Letter Size Paper + $9.99 or less after $40 Office Depot GC Rebate + Free S&H
@mistercheap Sigh, thanks for info. Just today Office Depot emailed me a 15% off coupon, so I ordered using that.
Hoping I can use that $40 gift card towards the lion’s share of a 100-roll of USPS stamps… -

Is this deal still happening? I do see the $40 mail-in-rebate but I don’t see any additional $40 gift card. Am I missing something?
I’m thinking the $40 rebate is in the form of a $40 Office Depot gift card, in other words rebate=gift card. If it was an additional gift card, every deal vulture in the country would be on top of this!
I’m contemplating this one myself, but would prefer one of the regular Staples paper/rebate deals, where the rebate is either a check or a pre-paid Visa card. Anyone know if Staples has such a paper deal this coming weekend?

RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@my4mainecoons I already took advantage of the $25 back on $50 with two pairs of shoes, the surprisingly nice Fila Headway 7 trail running sneakers in gray/yellow and gray/red, along with a $5 workout shirt. I used some Freecash that Sears gave me to bring my out-of-pocket down to $50.10, and sure enough got my $25 SYWR points the next day. Thinking about getting yet another pair of the gray/yellow Filas shipped to me for free ($26.10 using my points). I suspect Sears will be long gone before all my new shoes are worn out!
Btw I’m not biting on any of those Marketplace deals, even though I’m sorta tempted on some ~$50 Overstock rug runners. I imagine too many issues on getting SYWR points back.

Irwin Milled Face California Framing Claw Hammer, 21 oz, Reg. $19.98, as low as $5.99 (YMMV)

RE: 8-Pack of 160-Count Kleenex 2-Ply Facial Tissues + $5 Target Gift Card $11.38 + Free Shipping
@myisland I’ve found you can counteract that feeling by simply ordering “Smart Sense” (Kmart house brand) tissues to be sent to you, especially when you get 100% SYWR points back, plus free shipping. Decadent, yes; but bourgeoisie, no.
-
RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@my4mainecoons Yo coons, ya I tried adding tools slightly over $10, angling for a “freebie” ($10 on $10)…no go. Did see the 50% points back offer on them though. I’ll try again later, maybe Sears hasn’t sync’ed up with SYW yet.
Btw, in the past I’ve had no problem using Freecash (aka surprise points) in various “points back” deals, providing that I spent (out-of-pocket) whatever minimum $ was specified. If no $ minimum was specified, whatever Freecash I spent (and/or SYWR points) simply reduced the “points back” $ amount.
What I have found to be the dealbreaker is trying to use a coupon code on these orders. That blows out any possible Freecash or points back. Any accumulated SYWR points can still be used of course.
-
RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@my4mainecoons Ya, I just saw this too. It seems to apply to almost all tool items sold by Sears, and not just select house branded tools (Craftsman, Evolv, etc)…nice. Looks like it has to be all out-of-pocket though (can’t use Freecash). Must be winding down inventories to prep for the inevitable!
-
RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
Not a “points back” offer, but I just noticed this gem in my list of offers at shopyourway.com :
You have $10 to use on Sears (When you spend $10.00 or more on qualifying items)
Expires on April 01, 2018
Items sold by Sears or Kmart. Excludes Lands’ End, TVs, Levi’s, Giftcards, Sears PartsDirect, and other surprise points.
(Trouble is, don’t see this when logged into either sears.com or kmart.com…) -

Members get $30 CASHBACK in points when you spend $40+ on Home goods Valid in-store only at select Sears stores. Maximum $30 in points per member. Points credit to account 24 hours after transaction. Points valid 14 days.
So coons, I’ve not been seeing this offer when online with either sears.com or shopyourway.com, nor do I see any mention of this offer when exploring the Home dept. in my local Sears store. I guess this might be because I’ve cashed in on so many other “points back” or “Freecash” offers in the last month, dunno. Or maybe it’s a store/region thing…?
I do have some Home dept. Freecash offers ($10 off $30, $15 off $40), but not this points back offer. I’m guessing you ran across this online (or otherwise are a super-dedicated typist), ya?

RE: $100 Lowe's Gift Card For Only $90 - FREE Mail Delivery by svm @ eBay
Something to keep in mind when using Lowe’s gift cards (at least based on my past experiences):
When making an online order, and the often unreliable Lowe’s store inventory shows your item in-stock (but it’s not), that order, or portion thereof, is canceled. You don’t get a cancellation email–instead you get a phone call. All of this applies regardless if you used a Lowe’s gift card or a credit card to pay for your order.
The rub is if paid by Lowe’s gift card, they do not credit that amount back to your gift card (as you might expect). To get your money back, you must phone Lowe’s customer service and ask them for it. Plan on 10 or more minutes for that step. Once they agree to that, plan on another 3 or 4 days for UPS to deliver an envelope to you that contains yet another plastic Lowe’s gift card for the canceled amount!

The only deal you can repeat is the Home/Overstock deal for $40 back on $40.
I’m not too sure about this, as I just ordered some Fila trail running shoes for $20.01 + tax shipped to me (out of pocket after $6.09 from $10 in Freecash), and my order shows I earned $20.40 in SYWR points. Maybe it’s something special that applies only to shoes or clothes, dunno…?
This after already getting my $20.40 in SYWR points from a previous $22 tool order I made yesterday. Also being shipped to me free. Whatever it takes to help Sears out on their race to the bottom!

Sears online only: Get $50 SYWR points when you spend $75+ on tools. Free shipping. Now through Sat., 2/10/18
Ok, Shop Your Way members, this promotion has been going on for at least a week now. However, I noticed today that it wasn’t only for a few “select” tools/tool sets, but virtually everything sold by Sears under the Tools section. With the notable exception of “Garage Organization” stuff (e.g. tool cabinets) and get this: screwdrivers (lol).
Did you know that Sears sells lots of non-Craftsman branded tools? Such as, but not limited to, Dewalt, WEN, Powertec, and so on. And that often Sears has price-matched Amazon, or is even lower? So even if your not a “Craftsman fan”, you might find something of interest. Especially if you already have SYWR points to burn and some “Freecash” offers…
NOTE: Just be sure when applying your SYWR points, to still pay Sears at least $75. Otherwise you won’t get that $50 in SYWR bonus points! Typically you get those points when your tool order ships.
NOTE2: Your $50 in SYWR bonus points are only good for 7 days! So before ordering, it’s probably good to have some plan on how you’re going to spend them. Note this “store money” is good on anything at Sears or Kmart stores, as well as Sears and Kmart online. So for the latter, it likely means more free shipping!
NOTE3: Today (Mon 2/5) is the last day that topcashback.com is offering 6% cashback on Sears online orders. I’m pretty sure that tool orders apply…

I see I got my extra $10 in SYWR points, along with a couple of nice Freecash offers at Sears
($15 on bedding, bath or small kitchen appliance purchase of $15 or more, $15 on sporting goods purchase of $20 or more.)
It’s a mystery to me just how long they can keep this up!Sooner or later, they have to lose surface tension and just go under…

RE: Kmart 100%+ back in SYWR points on $10+ Smart Sense and other house brands (namely, Little Ones, Champion Breed, Cat & Co., Grey Wolf, Image Essentials, be bath escapes, or Essential Home products) Now through Sat., 2/3/18. MAX 50,000 points per member.
@mistercheap Well said MrCheap. For a tool junkie like me, the SYW rewards program has enabled me to save a lot of money on Sears tool-related orders, often paid using rewards on consumables bought from Kmart.
It’s not widely known that Sears.com sells lots of tools and shop supplies besides their own Craftsman brand, and their prices often are competitive with Amazon (and can fluctuate just as much). Also Amazon doesn’t give me “surprise points” or “free cash” to use either.
I just don’t get all the grousing. I sure will miss my local Sears store when it closes. They haven’t announced it officially, but you don’t need to be a detective to see that new stock is not being put out, and that empty shelves and item hooks outnumber others.
-
RE: Kmart 100%+ back in SYWR points on $10+ Smart Sense and other house brands (namely, Little Ones, Champion Breed, Cat & Co., Grey Wolf, Image Essentials, be bath escapes, or Essential Home products) Now through Sat., 2/3/18. MAX 50,000 points per member.
The trick for me was finding enough Smart Sense stuff that offered free shipping, as my local Kmart store was (regrettably) shut down last spring. Almost none of the grocery products, and only a few paper good items applied. A couple items were even disqualified as I was loading up my online cart–likely the effect of various “deal websites” like this one, har! I sure miss the days of picking up my 100%-points-back paper products and groceries at the store.
Now Kmart pays UPS to ship them to me instead! Whatever helps them out on their crazy race to the bottom!

RE: 100 Forever Stamps $48.75/Costco Membership/$15 off your first offer of $55
Office Depot periodically gives 100% rewards back on stuff like paper towels, batteries, printer paper, etc. I found you can use those rewards to buy 100-roll USPS Forever stamps, where they tack some nominal fee on (~$5 I think) to send them to you.
Just another idea for saving on postage stamps–if you’re not in a hurry, of course!

Kroger: $10 off coupon for Private Selection Half Spiral Ham (today's 25 Merry Days deal), can get a nice ham under $0.80/lb.
Coupon is one of three “25 Merry Days” coupons you must load to your Kroger card account TODAY, it’s at the bottom of this page:
The coupon works on a Private Selection Hickory Smoked Brown Sugar Spiral Sliced Ham , currently on sale for $1.99/lb.
I found a nice 8.17 lb one marked on sale for $16.36, so with the coupon loaded it rang up for $6.36, or about $0.78/lb.
Lots of ham and eggs ahead for me!
Note: This coupon is good until 01/01/2018, even though you must load it to your account today.
