Okay, so two Amazon cards claimed, one yesterday, one several days ago. But no actual codes received yet. Anyone get theirs yet?

I see Amazon is available as a prize choice, but when I choose it and click the “get that code” button, it just spins endlessly and doesn’t process, so perhaps it hasn’t been re-stocked and their annoying site hasn’t been updated.

RE: Home Depot 11% Rebate - Select States - valid on in-store purchases from 02/27/22 - 03/19/22
Sure enough, another rebate period started this week. I expect this will continue for most of the year. Typically, this rebate begins in February and ends before Black Friday sales begin each year.

RE: Home Depot 11% Rebate - Select States - valid on in-store purchases from 02/27/22 - 03/19/22
This coincides with the resumption of Menard’s starting their 11% rebates. If you live in a state where there are Menard’s stores exist, Home Depot has traditionally matched them with their own rebate for the last several years. Also, the rebate period will likely continue through most of the rest of the year, for as long as Menard’s continues to offer their rebate.

@mmyk said in Kroger: $150 Arizona Mastercard Gift Card $140 + $1 Shipping:
I typically have decent CB % on groceries, drugstores, travel, etc. between different cc’s. Plan to use these for the payments that don’t get higher CB. Unfortunately most stores don’t allow using these to buy other Prepaid cards which used to be sweet when there were moneymaking discounts for buying Visa or Master prepaid cards at Safeway brand stores.
I think I was able to use a prepaid card fairly recently to buy another prepaid card at Jewel (Safeway/Alberston’s), but it now must be below the value of the card used for purchase. The cashier/mgr. may or may not balk, but I’m saying the POS system should accept it.

ordered 4 and got confirmation emails. will use them up between phone, internet and insurance bills.
These are physical cards, so you can use them in B&M stores, not just for digital and online purchases.

RE: Kroger: $150 Arizona Mastercard Gift Card $140 + $1 Shipping
My three separate orders went through. Confirmations took about an hour for each. I didn’t have a CC with a special bonus, so I used three of my prepaid digital Visas cards. Good way to use these.
As discussed over on that other deal site, the transaction is coded as from a gift card company, so not grocery store bonus.
These did sell out, so consider this particular deal expired, though the code should still presumably work on other eligible cards.

@yoregano Out of curiosity, which reward? I claimed Amazon GCs (x3 accts) with no issues on the claiming process.
The Amazon card, of course. 😉 It seems like it’s a site problem, not in picking a specific reward.
UPDATE: KFR acknowledged on their FB page that they are aware of the issue and are working on it.

Well, yes, my problems were with using Chrome on my Mac. Things did work using Chrome on my Android phone, though. I did figure out the receipt upload method. What looks at first like just a picture on the page is actually three icons/buttons to choose from to use depending on method of upload.

RE: Official Kellogg's Family Rewards Program Codes Master Thread (program to end 12/31/2022)
The new KFR site is certainly… interesting. I tried again to do some activities, and this time, they credited for me. I used my phone this time; things still are wonky from my Mac desktop. Up to 4 credits now. But when I try and submit a receipt, I can’t seem to get to a way to do that. When I click the actual receipt button, it directs to a “how to” page but doesn’t prompt a picture or attach option.

RE: NETFLIX Price Increases
Sheesh, they are getting pricey for an on-demand service. Especially compared to the multiple sub-$5 options (for trials, at least) for lots of other streaming services. (Hulu for 99¢ a month with the BF promo, I also got three months of Discovery+ for 99¢ a month plus $13 back via SwagBucks, six months of Motortrend for 99¢ a month, two months of Showtime+ for 99¢ a month as a Prime add-on promo.) It’s become subscribe to Netflix to watch Stranger Things when new seasons begin and then drop them immediately.

There’s an option for a physical card too. I haven’t done it recently but in the past I’ve used a bunch at once to buy a prepaid Visa at Staples when they have no activation fee. The Staples prepaid cards are good for years.
Oh, yes I forgot about that, I’m so used to getting a digital card. But that’s because… be sure to check when you redeem the card. Usually, there is a fee to get a physical card instead of a digital one, probably $3, so you’d end up with a card worth $17.

Just got the eGift card in my email.
Same here for me, too. For those not familiar with prepaid Visa cards, you will need to create an account with Prepaid Digital Solutions to activate the card. These function essentially as credit cards, but for online use only as there is no physical card and, of course, only up to the value limit of the card. Note that once activated, these have a six-month expiration. You have three months to activate the card if you wish (end of April, in this case). I get these kinds of cards all the time from surveys and rebates and such. If you end up with a small remaining balance after a purchase, a good way to use it up is to reload your Amazon gift card balance or apply it toward a utility/phone/internet bill.

The granular one is still available. I guess that won’t work for the system?
I did see this and have considered it. Technically, it should work, but the system is designed to use standard 1-inch tabs. It’s easy to load a couple at a time into the compartment. It would be harder to fill the chamber with granules without making a mess and some of them falling into the toilet tank, which you don’t want to happen as they can be corrosive. (The system connects through the water supply so the treated water only goes directly into the bowl during flushing.)
Amazon does still sell standard 1-inch tabs, but none via S&S as far as I’ve seen lately, and they are expensive.

Anyone remember this deal on the Kaboom! toilet sytem from a few years ago?
https://phatwalletforums.com/topic/12217/kaboom-scrub-free-toilet-cleaning-system-3-36-a-c-fsss-amazonI got two of these and am still using them, being quite pleased at how simply and well they work. Instead of buying more expensive branded tablets from the mfr., I got these standard 1-inch brom tabs via Amazon S&S. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O5ZZ4W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They worked great, I got a good deal at the time (less than $18 for the tub), and they lasted three years for two toilets in my house. But these are no longer available at Amazon, and I can’t seem to find an inexpensive replacement. Amazon hasn’t offered any via S&S lately, at least. The price of brom tabs seems to have really shot up in recent years.Anybody still using this Kaboom! system and have a good source on brom tabs?

Excellent question. I am wondering about that too as I am signed up for both Swagbucks and Inbox Dollars.
It’s separate. Each company, though all three are under the Prodege umbrella of ownership, is distinct from one another. I got the $600 warning from SB but not from MP when I tried to do my final redemption of the year on each.

RE: Looking for Netflix deal to replace Hulu
As far as Hulu goes, the thing to do is sign up for the annual Black Friday timeframe promo. If you already have a Hulu account, just sign up with a different email. Hulu has been doing this recurring deal for the last, I dunno, five years or so? It has ranged from being $0.99 - $1.99 per month for one year. I realize that this doesn’t do you any good now, you’ll have to wait until next BF for (presumably) the next offer. But there is no reason to not do this deal for the basic Hulu package.
Netflix has never had promo offers, at least not for some time, outside of an occasional first month free trial. Besides looking for discounted gift cards as someone already noted, try searching over at the other famous deal site, you know, the “slippery” one. There has been an off-and-on deal to buy a Google Chromecast that comes bundled with six months of Netflix for more-or-less free.
And yes, as you realize, a Hot Deal is all about a verifiable deal on specific good or services. looking for “useful tips and advice” is Deal Discussion.

RE: Top Cashback: Poorest tracking of orders and repeated customer service denials of claims
To my great surprise, I just had a claim ticket resolved and the cash back was approved! In this case, it was for Hulu back during the Black Friday timeframe. One curious thing was it took TCB forever to submit the claim after I had created the ticket. Anyway, I’m still miffed overall, though. This cash back amount was $2; I’m still out the $7+ on my earlier mentioned Home Depot transaction which included a $5 bonus at the time of purchase. And getting this Hulu transaction approved does not make me feel more comfortable in using TCB going forward. Both the Hulu and HD purchases were made on the same computer, using the same browser (Chrome), within a similar timeframe, etc. It just does not make sense why one worked and the other didn’t.

Nothing wrong with fact based feedback, and if that feedback is not complimentary, so be it. Obviously with as many people sharing similar tales in this thread, the problem is not isolated and the same lame excuses are given over and over again. Even with the extension, as @yoregano points out, he didn’t get his CB and if enough people leave negative reviews of TCB online (again fact based, not indiscriminate rants), it will start to bite them in the ass sooner or later.
What he said.
Since TCB says that it’s up to the merchant to report tracking, I might see how much effort I want to put into this and press the merchant (Home Depot in this case) to tell me what exactly the “other marketing channel” is in my situation. If I get that info, I will then see who really owes me cash back for this transaction.
-
RE: Top Cashback: Poorest tracking of orders and repeated customer service denials of claims
My response to TCB after getting the same denial response after a claim:
What good does it do to use Chrome, with the TCB extension installed, and have it showing as activated at the time of purchase, if that can’t be considered as reliable? It’s ridiculous. My click-to-merchant history timestamp and actual purchase time are within minutes of each other. There simply is no sensible explanation why anything should have gone wrong except to say the TCB has shortcomings in their system and processing to reliably track transactions. I just do not have these problems with other cash-back sites. I have been using cash-back sites for years—I understand how this works. If something goes wrong, I’m at the mercy of the cash-back site to follow through or not. And I again say, since there is not credit showing for me for this purchase from another cash-back site, something doesn’t add up.I’m sure I’ll just get another sorry-sounding reply back, but I’m getting my two bits in. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be done with them after many years of satisfaction. And I will follow through and actively bad mouth them going forward.

Well, this is where it gets hazy. They sort of are, but not really. They are processed as debit or CCs and thus should be usable anywhere such cards are accepted. I always have a lot of these around, mostly in digital-only form (from compensation for surveys, rewards program redemptions, etc.) and online transactions like this are a perfect way to use them.

No. This is the basic $6.99 plan at a discounted price. There is no live TV, save for perhaps certain events. Major networks do post some shows there, for example, you can watch the current season of ABC’s The Goldbergs, but not live, but instead soon after the original airing on regular broadcast (which you could also do via ABC’s own app). To get live channels, you’d have to subscribe to the much more expensive Hulu + Live. This basic version of Hulu is similar to Netflix and Prime that (for the most part) only carry on-demand streaming/

RE: TCB - TopCashBack - $10 wyb $25 at participating retailers by 10/27/21 plus new Hummingbird game for 10th Birthday Bash
The bird clues that TCB posts on their Facebook page are the only guaranteed merchants where one will find a bird. People commenting in those posts where they find other birds is kind of pointless, really. Any other birds one might find are completely random. And as described, there are various results when a bird is found. Most are entries for the grand prize. Some can be for instant wins of low value, and others can be toward completing a set to win larger amounts, such as four cakes needed to win $25.
