What benefits does a Target Circle 360 membership give you?
I will Google it and post the AI answer:
A Target Circle 360 membership offers benefits like unlimited same-day delivery on orders over $35 from Target and partner stores, free 2-day shipping on eligible items, 30 extra days to return purchases, and monthly freebies and exclusive discounts. Members also get early access to sales and can choose a personal shopper through Shipt.
Shipping and delivery
Same-day delivery: Unlimited same-day delivery on orders of $35 or more, available from Target and other stores through Shipt.
Two-day shipping: Free two-day shipping on a wide selection of other eligible items.
Returns and discounts
Extended returns: Get an extra 30 days for returns, on top of Target’s standard return policy.
Monthly freebies: Choose a new selection of free gifts and exclusive discounts each month.
Exclusive access: Get early and exclusive access to major sales events and brand collaborations.
Other perks
No product markups: Same-day delivery orders are not subject to markups, with a few exceptions like select alcohol retailers.
Personal shopper option: Add a preferred personal shopper through the Shipt app.
Too bad they don’t offer a subscription to a streaming service as their competitor, Walmart, does or free food and discounts at a fast food restaurant as their competitor, Walmart, does.

@mrvietnam way more. you get a free item each month (their choice), right now holiday promo of all kinds of bonus ‘circle rewards offers’ etc. Free ship no minimum on lots of stuff. I’ll post the holiday promo soon that makes this well worth it.

@MrVietnam see updated OP info.

@MrVietnam see updated OP info.
I saw. Thanks for updating I guess if they give you the membership basically for free (a/ $50 in Target Rewards as you stated in the title of your post) then everything else is just gravy on top, pure MM.
It looks like the real value of this free after rewards membership isn’t for free shipping because if you have a Red Card, you get free shipping anyway. The real value is for all the perks that they give you. Like they give you a free product every month and then they also give you rewards back when you make certain purchases or make a list of 10 items and you get $10 back. Since the $49 membership is free after $50 rewards, all the other ways to make extra rewards back are just pure MM. I bet just the free product offerings each month for a year will add up to around $100.
-
It should be noted there are 3 ways to get the $49 annual membership price (the regular price is $99 a year):
- If you are a Circle Card holder (formerly known as Red Card). This is a free card and easy to sign up for it.
- If you are a college student
- If you are on public assistance
It looks like the freebie item and monthly discounts get added the first of each month.
Even though I signed up today (10/12/25) it still let me choose the freebie item for October! They had five items to choose from, 3 were not available anymore, but the one I chose was $10 off Good & Gather groceries. Good & Gather is Target’s store brand of groceries.
I wonder if you can pay the membership price with a Target gift card or it has to be new money?
No, you cannot pay for the membership fees with a Target gift card. It wouldn’t allow me too and I had to use my Target Red Card to pay. Unfortunately in CA I have to pay sales tax on memberships, so that added $4.53 to my grand total.
I wonder if Target Circle 360 memberships will give any cash back on any of the cash back sites?
It looks like Retail Me Not is giving back 2% cash back on Target purchases sitewide for a limited time.
Do Target Circle Rewards have an expiration date?
Target Circle Rewards will expire after one year if you have not earned or redeemed them. Your expiration date can be found on target.com/circle or under Wallet tab in the Target app.
The $50 back in rewards instantly posted to my rewards balance! Wahoo. You use it up like an electronic gift card at the register.
One important thing to remember though is that this membership like most memberships are automatic renewing ones, so if you don’t want to have it automatically renew you can turn off automatic renewals or just remember to cancel a day before the end of the year term.
I think I will go for it as it is essentially free after rewards even if I do nothing else. Just have to spend the $50 they give you back in rewards sometime in the next year. Thanks, MC.

@MISTERCHEAP thanks but nearest Target is an hour away

Hey all!! Just signed up and used existing gift cards to pay that I got at 10% off a ways back. Like @MrVietnam chose the $10 in free Good/Gather option and my $50 in rewards I think shows as well.
They’ll have the 10% off GC’s again at Black Friday I’m sure, so I’ll replenish some then. This is a great deal.
@my4mainecoons FYI shipping is free no min with this even if you don’t have a target close by. Not sure if that helps you.

Thanks, MC.@MrVietnam that’s really strange. I was able to pay the entire $49 using banked GC’s! you don’t get the 5% discount paying w/red card and since I’m getting $50 back in rewards it was a wash with no OOP. Wonder why it wouldn’t let you? I had no issues whatsoever and no sales tax on the membership here in my state.

In my experience, I haven’t been able to get free shipping no minimum, I still get the $35 minimum requirement. But the monthly freebies are good. I probably wouldn’t pay for this, but I got it for free when I replaced my cellphone on a clearance deal last spring. On the other hand, if they give out $5 or $10 a month, depending on the yearly fee actually paid, it would probably pay for itself and be a MM at some point.

Yes, that is a little strange. I tried hard to use target gift cards to pay for my fee but no matter what I did it wouldn’t take them, but that’s not too big of a deal.
The only thing I can think of is I tried to enter a gift card at check out. I didn’t have it previously banked in my account, but I’m not sure that would make any difference. I think they prefer you to pay with a credit card or Red Card because they have automatic renewals so it kind of makes sense for them not to accept gift cards for payment.

also got the 2% from Retail Me Not! another 98c.

I think having the GCs banked allows you to use them on the yearly fee, because I also had my 10%ers banked and it allowed me to pay the $49 with the GCs.
Dang, forgot about using a cashback site.

Just a reminder for those who became Circle 360 members that starting today you can make your holiday wishlist and add 10 items to it and get a $10 rewards bonus. I just made my wish list and I got my $10 in rewards…It just takes a few minutes. This offer is available now through November 1 and you can do it one time.
Wow. This free membership is already a $10 money maker for me now and with the monthly free items, I can see this easily being $100 money maker if not more.

Also, another easy $10 comes from the Starbucks offer in store, Make 2 purchases, get $10 in rewards. I think they may sell cookies or bottled water for $2-3, so if you spend $6 let’s say in 2 visits, you’ll make $4 in Circle rewards.
Also @MrVietnam another is 2 same day delivery orders, not sure the minimum, but if $10, I may try an order of good/gather free $10 items to see if that will count as one of the orders.
Then do another with $10 of something, to get $10 back, But all is very YMMV right now, if there’s fees/tips, etc not going to mess w/it.

The same day delivery service is by a third party service and there is a required tip from what I read on SD.
Also, Starbucks items are quite expensive, so probably the best you could do is make them half price after rewards.

OK, yeah, if you have to tip, not worth it. Walmart+ is delivered by WMT, no tipping.
As for Starbucks, I’ll go one day soon a report back. Pretty sure the rewards back will more than cover 2 orders of the cheapest thing they can ring up.
-
I misread the Starbucks offer. I didn’t realize it was get $10 back in rewards when you make two purchases, even though you stated that very clearly in your post MC. With that I think certainly you could at a minimum get two items for free, but it could even be a small money maker like you said.
It looks like that offer doesn’t need to be activated, but it just tracks automatically when you scan your barcode at the register.
This is a great way to cash out any Starbucks gift cards that you may have. If you live in California, Starbucks has a website that you can cash out any Starbucks gift card under $10 and they'll mail you a check in a week or two. I've done it many times.

Just back from target Starbucks and they had a small container of apple juice for $1.95 and then they had a vanilla almond biscotti in a small package and I think he said 155 or something like that it was under two dollars. A small bag of potato chips were $2.55 and a chocolate chip cookie was $3.25. . So you could pretty easily make a six dollar MM on the Starbucks offer…
I wonder if the two visits have to be on different days or if you could just make them back to back so you wouldn’t have to come back.

yeah, I wondered that myself, or have to be so many hours apart. they dont’ really spell it out on the offer.

Evidently from what I read from a poster on SD he went in yesterday and did the offer and he got his $10 in rewards. I’m not sure if he did it back to back or not but I’m just assuming back to back would work. I plan to go in today and buy two of the two dollar snack items in different transactions and see if I get the $10 in rewards. He even said he was able to pay with Targe Circle 360 rewards and still earn rewards back.
