My understanding is that Chase Pay replaces the use of physical cards – in this case, both credit card and Fuel Rewards card – as both card numbers are registered in your Chase Pay preferences (linked CC and merchant “Shell”), @gatorj.

If your preferred linked CC is a MasterCard, you should additionally be able to take advantage of a MC promo offering a $0.15/gal. discount when you register your MC number with your Fuel Rewards card by March 31, 2018:

I don’t know how accurate that is. I just used a BP GC at Arco in Northern California, although the card was purchased a year ago, from SVM.

@MrsGuin Since this offer requires a purchase, it’s not a freebie. Since you are not required to make a grocery purchase, it also doesn’t seem to fit the Grocery and Drugstore forum either. So, I’m moving it to Hot Deals as a general gasoline discount open to everyone.

@my4mainecoons Pleasantly surprised when I went to BB to buy gas gc today. In the past they only had Mobil. Today they also had Shell in $25 and $50’s. I bought a combination of Shell & Exxon Mobil cards because I get 5¢/gallon discount at the pump from their Gas Rewards program. I think that’s another 2% if the price per gallon is the same as at Exxon Mobil.

BTW, where is the SRite ad forr next week? Looking for the VGC deal, but this AM the usual SR has next weeks ad available at service desk. not this Sun. I am expecting 2 weeks of VGC with free food the following week!!

@psxzombie If you keep redeeming the ones for points with 5+ gallon purchase they start sending 8+ gallon purchase. Enjoy them while they last.

Might be too much fuss for some but I’ve redeemed a lot of gas offers:
I would get 5.01 gallons to earn the bonus points for eg 200PP wyb 5+ gallons.
I would get 4.51 gallons to earn the bonus points for eg 10x points on gallons of gas purchase.

The distinction is that the system rounds up when they’re multiplying the gallons but NOT when minimum is required to earn a bonus.

If I needed a full tank I’ve bought eg 5.01 gallons on one Plenti card and another 5.01 gallons on another Plenti card and received bonuses on both cards.
