I don’t recall ever seeing a code that doesn’t exclude PC’s & technology-- except for codes that are specifically for PC’s & technology.

No $ off promo or Visa Checkout, etc promo for Black Friday sales, no 1/2 price Staples Plus membership, no deals on their own Gift Cards (usually would have a bonus card offer of some kind for the holidays). I mean, NADA. Not even a free after rewards item.
They get my 2020 BAH HUMBUG retailer reward for the lousiest BF sales of any major retailer.

My best guess is that they print out when there is a time gap (duration unknown) from your last shopping trip. Tracked by your rewards #. I have received 7 of the $10 off $20 with the 1/30 exp date, playing coupon lottery, sub accounts detailed above.
