I don’t see the $45 instant savings listed in my instant savings. Did you see it listed online when you started a new membership, MC? I guess if I get $45 of items in club and the $45 doesn’t come off I can always just cancel my membership and get my money back. Is using the scan and go app a requirement for this deal or can I just check out with a cashier?

Just an interesting FYI: evidently now they do not print your name or put your picture on your membership card anymore, The new membership card has no personal information that links it to me. It even has a different account number on the card than I received online when I bought my membership.

@MrVietnam you can try a mock order online (make sure no instant savings). they do say to allow 72 hours but typically it’s live after 24.

As for instore, I think the $45 only comes off using that scan and go thing with the app. It seems like a cool way to shop, you don’t even have to check out, you show the receipt on your phone to the person at the exit and leave. So try that first as it likely won’t work at a regular cash register.

As for the new card, they do take your picture but it’s not on the card, I guess they have a way to pull up your photo to match if they want to. Don’t forget, you get a free family member card too, so have your spouse or child (if over 18) come with you one day to get their card. I believe they require ID like a DL.

I found name of the app. It is called DOSH. You should also be able to get another $10 in cashback from CO51 on the new $45 membership when bought in store, so the potential is there to make this a free membership plus a $35 MM.

As for the ‘sale’ thing, I was concerned about that but happy to report some of the ‘everyday’ prices for groceries (not on sale) were pretty good.

Got chicken breasts $1.88 lb, lots of jarred gherkin pickles for $3 a jar (BG brand), some cookies, various produce (bagged lettuce, baby carrots, etc).

Also, if you can do any of the Bud Rebates on various items in CA this is a good way to monetize some cheese or meats, etc.

My groceries added up to $46.xx, paid $1.xx oop.
