RE: $100 Lowe’s eGift Card For $90, Up to 3x @ PPDG via PayPal.com
@fivetalents Thanks fivetalents. Buying gift cards online is getting to be an adventure these days. I tried to order two of these from PayPal, using my charge card for payment, but they removed that payment option. So I removed one, and found I could then pay that way. And recent Newegg sales of gift cards don’t offer a PayPal option (I don’t trust them with my CC info).
And don’t even get me started on giftcards.kroger.com (aka GiftCardMall aka Blackhawk Networks). I discovered I wasn’t alone after reading other user reviews on that outfit!

RE: Dead (Max number of offers have been claimed): Today (12/19) only: Get $5 off your next purchase of $5 or more when you pay with PayPal
@mrvietnam Heads up (and YMMV), but while I do see the $5 in my PayPal “wallet” after following this link, it apparently keeps me from buying the recent PayPal Digital Gift cards for Lowe’s ($50 for $45) or Home Depot ($110 for $100) while it’s sitting there. Kind of a circular effect trying to order, logging back in then seeing the unable to order msg.
Again, this might be just me. But I suspect if I use that $5 on some other non-gift-card order first, I wouldn’t have any issues ordering a gift card.

RE: $110 The Home Depot eGift Card For $100, Limit 2 @ PPDG via PayPal.com
Thanks fivetalents! Ya, I did miss the last one. These don’t seem to come up too often!
I wish Home Depot would open a store near me (sadly, Lowe’s is our only nearby equivalent).
But Home Depot’s online specials are often legit good deals… -
RE: Lowe’s $100 eGift Card for $90 @ Newegg, Exp 3am EST, 12-31-2019
@fivetalents Showing $100 for me (no discount). But Kroger is still offering $300 Lowe’s eGift Card for $270–plus you can get “fuel points”, fwiw.

RE: Oral-B 7000 SmartSeries Rechargeable Power Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity and Travel Case $79.97 + FSSS/Prime @ Amazon.com, DOTD
@fivetalents Brave new world, this toothbrush with bluetooth. So you install an app on your cell phone, and you’re all good.
LOL! -
RE: Samuel L. Jackson Celebrity Voice for Amazon Alexa $1
Although I don’t participate in “connected-speaker technology” myself, this does seem pretty cool.
Better yet would be if you could configure Alexa to use Samuel L. Jackson for all replies imo. Or maybe Gilbert Gottfried. -
RE: Expired: Staples: No Purchase Fee On $200 Visa Gift Cards (12/15-12/21)
@mrvietnam I’m pretty ignorant about why these type of gift cards are “deals”.
Do these purchases count towards the Staples $ spend levels to get to “Premier” status, for example? -
Walmart: Hyper Tough 20V Li-Ion 4-Tool Combo Kit, $40 now, YMMV
Hyper Tough Ht 20-Volt 4-Tool Combo Kit AQ90146G
Brickseek link for store availabilityFound this on that “other” popular deal site. Hyper Tough is Walmart’s budget house brand. I’ve found the few Hyper Tough tools I’ve bought on clearance from Walmart have been generally good, including a couple of drills. This set even comes with 2 batteries (1.5Ah).
Apparently a few stores
havehad so many that they reduced it down to $25, which is crazy!Another unusual thing is that unlike most clearance items (available for store pickup only), Walmart lets you order this online for store pickup, which means you could use a cashback site to save a little more, possibly. Again, YMMV. -
RE: Lowe’s $100 eGift Card For $90 @ Newegg.com, Today Only
@fivetalents Upon checkout (for one) I found that using PayPal for payment was not available, at least not for me.
I know I’ve used PayPal before with them for these, so that’s a change… -
D. Lawless Hardware, Cyber Monday free shipping all orders, GREAT cabinet hardware selection and prices
You may have never heard of them (I hadn’t until a few months ago), but they have an immense collection of hardware for cabinets, doors, and so on, as well as variety of of other craft related items. And likely for less $ than you can find anywhere as well!
Free shipping today (Cyber Monday) on all orders!
If you’re thinking about a remodeling or building project where you need such items, you should definitely check them out.
I saved a lot of money back in September on an order, and will be ordering more today… -

RE: SYWR Points Back with Purchase Offers Thread
@my4mainecoons I’d still be playing if there were any Sears (or Kmart) stores left near me, and even the closest ones (50mi+) are slated to close down.
Just a note about this specific drill/driver set, apparently it’s not “battery compatible” with all the previous Craftsman/B&D 20Vmax tools, at least according to some reviews.
And I say that as a big fan of the B&D 20Vmax line, having lots of shop tools as well as outdoor tools that all use the same 20V li-ion batteries. Plus also (with a minor mod) Porter-Cable 20Vmax batteries as well, and vice versa. -
RE: 4 Months of Amazon Music Unlimited for $0.99 (reg. $9.99/mo.) for New Subscribers thru Jan 06, 2020
@kohlspowrshopper They’ve offered this for a while now, as my 4-month free trial just ended. It’s great, I’ll miss it (I’m just too cheap to pay that much)!

RE: Swingline® Standard Staples, 1/4" Length, 210/Per Strip, 5,000/Box (35108) $1.69 @ Staples
@geezlouise I think sometimes prices vary depending on whether you’ve logged in, and possibly what “spend level” you’re at after that.
I do see “Business Exclusive Price” along with that $1.69 price, even though I don’t have a business account (or card) with them. I did pay for a “Plus” rewards membership however, back a couple of months ago when they had that on sale for $25… -
RE: Swingline® Standard Staples, 1/4" Length, 210/Per Strip, 5,000/Box (35108) $1.69 @ Staples
Whoda thunk it? Staples at Staples!
I’m already good on those; otherwise they’d be spending more than me just to get them delivered “next day” (as a plus member).
A bit silly, really. -
Topcashback $2.50 bonus for orders $10.00 and up...act quickly!
Just saw it this morning at topcashback.com, which worked out well for a Lowe’s order I needed to make and pickup today.

Home Depot YMMV, Scripto Aim-N-Flame Utility Lighter (3 Pack), $2.03
In-store deal only, likely high YMMV, and this item does not appear on the homedepot.com website.
There were plenty hanging on hooks in my closest Home Depot store, next to the grills and charcoal grills. Each pack had assorted colors of lighters, where one has a “flex” neck, and the other two a straight neck.
For reference only, they looked like this one on Amazon. -

RE: Ultra Mobile 12-Month Unlimited Talk & Text and 3GB 4G LTE Data for $126 - New Subscribers Only
According to Wikipedia, they use the T-Mobile network, and Mint Mobile is a subsidiary.
Interesting as I’m looking to cut Cricket loose about now. Just not sure I’ll be missing the AT&T cell coverage I currently have. -
RE: Engineering Catastrophes Season 3 (Digital HD) $1.99 @ Amazon
@ctgolfer Is this a YMMV deal? I’m seeing $19.99 following your link. I do have Prime btw…

RE: Brother HL-L2390DW USB & Wireless Black & White Laser Print-Scan-Copy Printer $69.99 AC, FS @ Staples.com
@fivetalents Great deal! You don’t usually see automatic duplex printing at this price point.
NOTE: retailmenot.com is offering 8% cashback at staples.com -
RE: Craftsman Extreme Grip 10-Pc. Diamond Tip Screwdriver Set $11.94 With Pickup @ Sears.com
@fivetalents It may be a YMMV thing depending on where (or even who) you are, but for me, the Free Shipping minimum is back up to $59.
Further, I’ve found most of these “Hot Buy” tool deals, such as this one, list as “Item not available for FREE shipping”.
Have you found otherwise? -
RE: Craftsman Extreme Grip 10-Pc. Diamond Tip Screwdriver Set $11.94 With Pickup @ Sears.com
@fivetalents It seems these would nicely round out that “regular” 6-piece set, as they are all either “long reach” or “stubby”.
I’d definitely bite if there was still a Sears store near me, or at least one that had them in stock. I’m tired of paying them for shipping though. -
RE: Reliance Hassock Portable Toilet $19.99 + FSP @ Walmart
@fivetalents Lol, same on Walmart now too. Must have been the same s
meller…! -
RE: Reliance Hassock Portable Toilet $19.99 + FSP @ Walmart
@fivetalents Currently, Amazon appears to be matching the $10.13 price, also with free shipping. So the two giants are going head-to-head in the portable toilet merchandising game!
NOTE: Looking at the news, I bet there are lots of folks in east Texas that wish they had one of these!

RE: Lowe's "Deal Of The Day" has hit a new level of silliness
@ukedog One of my hobbies is monitoring Lowe’s “Deal Of The Day”, more or less for yuks. Today’s is classic, tapping into NFL team spirit.
For today, and today only, you can save a whopping 10% on a portable charcoal grill with your favorite NFL team’s emblem on it!You’d expect to pay $87.95, but if you act fast, you can have it for only $79.15…!
Picnic Time Black Charcoal Grills with NFL Team Logo
Officially licensed by the NFL, and comes with a handsome polyester carrying tote! -
Big Lots 20% Off Entire Purchase Coupon (In FL, GA, SC, NC, VA stores only), Last Day Today

Yes, we here in the South need to put our mint juleps down, and hurry on over to Big Lots today! -
RE: Sears Craftsman Evolv 10pc 1/4 inch Standard or Metric Socket Set $1.94 + FSP @ Sears
@my4mainecoons You likely got the PayPal not accepted idea from me, as that’s where I’m at with my account with Sears or Kmart, even though I’m a “VIP Gold, Max Annual” SYW member. Glad that you can still order using PayPal.
The last two orders I was trying to pay only for shipping, using accumulated SYWR points to pay for the actual items. That might have something to do with it, dunno. Even more likely is that I no longer have a valid credit card associated with my Sears/Kmart account–and that ain’t gonna change!
Btw I ended up using the Sears chat mechanism to complain about not being able to order those times (paying only for shipping), and their customer service generously ordered on my behalf, waving the shipping charge! As nice as that was, I’d rather not spend the time going to the well each time assuming this would happen again…
I think the strange, sad, saga of Sears (and Kmart) is drawing near a close now. It’s been a great ride for deals for me though!
Abtw those heavy extension cords are ideal for using with an emergency generator when your load to be powered is pretty far away. Less voltage drop, etc.
-
RE: Sears Craftsman Evolv 10pc 1/4 inch Standard or Metric Socket Set $1.94 + FSP @ Sears
@ctgolfer In the Sears spirit of “self liquidation”, there’s all sorts of bargains now on tools, of which these two here are only two examples. You can see a list of over 400 more here:
Sears tool buys, sorted $ low-to-highUnfortunately I don’t see the usual filter on the left panel for which have available “Shipping”, and many of these are only available for Sears store pickup (none left near me, sadly).
However, imo some are even worth it even paying for shipping, especially if you have SYWR points to burn towards the item cost.In my case, this 50ft 12-3 extension cord for $15 seems like a good deal
-
RE: GE LED 10W Soft White, BR30 Indoor Flood, Dimmable, 4pk Light Bulbs, $1.50 @ Walmart In-Store YMMV
@midori Congrats! It is a crazy good price. It seems like only a couple of years ago, they ran about $15 each.
Btw I see some reported dimming issues with these particular bulbs, but I don’t dim (more like I am dim!). -
RE: Maisto R/C 4x4 Rock Crawler $12.68 Amazon - free shipping with Prime
@ctcarl I love that it comes in “Frustration-Free Packaging” (at least the lowest cost one). Whereas the “Standard Packaging” is 3 times the price!
So many times I’ve been almost reduced to tears just getting my R/C model out of the standard clamshell packaging!

Sears and Kmart stopped taking PayPal for online orders, and their gift cards are hard to purchase now
Anybody else? I’ve noticed Sears and Kmart gift cards have disappeared from places like Kroger, Lowe’s, and Staples, and even finding them online is tricky. For example Kroger still has the web page for Sears gift cards, but has marked them “Closed” (like so many of the actual Sears stores, har).
Well, Raise still lists them, but I’m not too sure about doing business with them. And besides, they don’t take PayPal…
Which brings me back to my original problem with trying to order online with either Sears or Kmart (burning SYWR points): the order won’t complete when trying to use PayPal.
Even after I’ve been automatically switched to PayPal to complete it, when that part finishes and I’m returned to Sears or Kmart to review the order, I’m prompted to enter a credit card (and that ain’t gonna happen).I’ve used PayPal plenty of times in the past.

RE: Aug 31 UPDATE to PSA: Yet more Sears and Kmart stores closing (yet again)
UPDATE 8/31/2019: They keep dropping like flies. This time, as of yet, no nice clean list of stores to be closed from corporate like before.
Yet it’s reported nearly 100 more Kmart and Sears stores will be closed before the end of the year.
USA Today article: https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2019/08/31/kmart-sears-store-closings-more-locations-shutter-end-2019/2168435001/ -
RE: Post-it Extreme 3-in x Green, Yellow, Orange, Mint Sticky Notes (12-Pack) $4.99 @ Lowe's
@ctgolfer Evidently these are some kind of super-duper post-its. After I saw I free shipping, I bit for one.
I also enjoyed reading the Lowe’s reviews for this, especially the one by JIM titled “Battle Tested”. -
RE: Current BPR (beer purchase required) online rebates
@briarycliffs Thanks Cliffs, I’m going to beat you to it on a few that might actually work for me in VA.
Namely, AB-1373 and possibly AB-1381. The first one is ambiguous with “Anheuser-Busch Craft Brands” (like I’m supposed to know).
I googled this bit, and evidently Devils Backbone brews qualify. Nuff said!Btw when it comes to beer rebates, it seems NY is the place to live!
EDIT 9/10: Kroger had 15-packs of DB Vienna Lager on sale this week for $13.99.
So my rebate is in, I’m enjoying this brew more (and for far less) than my normal swill–thanks Cliffs! -
RE: Reliance Hassock Portable Toilet $19.99 + FSP @ Walmart
Who doesn’t need this?!! In for one for the pup tent in our backyard!
Now all unexpected overnight guests will have all the conveniences! -
