In a controversial move, a bankruptcy judge approved the $5.2 billion sale of most of Sears’ assets to the hedge fund controlled by Sears’ chairman and former CEO, Eddie Lampert. This keeps 425 stores open and saves 45,00 jobs. Sears’ last profitable year was in 2010… since then it has lost $12 billion. Creditors are now expected to get only a pittance of the $3 billion owed. The judge scolded Lampert to make substantive changes going forward instead of being a stereotypical robber baron.
Wouldn’t trust it for an EDC, but for a buck it’d be great for a tool box or ten.
Picked up the last one at my nearest Walmart. Pleasantly surprised by the build quality, it seems evident to me that they attempted to copy Kershaw’s style which isn’t a bad idea. Knife was sharp enough out of the package to shave the hair on the back of my hand, and it seems sturdy. Certainly worth the dollar price tag.
I have this Mint SIM kit in hand. (unactivated) Can I get new service at the intro rate described above?
Not sure – the only way to see is if you go to their web site, click Activate on the top right side, then enter the activation code. Then see if there is a place to pick the 3 month intro plan and a place to enter the coupon code somewhere in the process.
If there is, enter the coupon code and see if it brings the total down to $20 + fees (likely $25 or so all-in).
If not, then it’s worth going through ebates, ordering a new plan/kit with the coupon code and it will bring the total down by $10 but you’ll have to wait a few days for a new SIM kit to arrive…
Go to your nearest Dollar General and buy a Green American Express Serve card for $2.95 and load $10 onto it.
Next, you must register it on the Serve website until 2/28/19 and after re-logging, you’ll receive your $10 with an extra $15 bonus!
This isn’t how it works. You don’t get the $15 until you receive your permanent card from Serve and activate it. You do NOT get the bonus merely by registering your temporary card you purchased at Dollar General.
