It’s free but a slight MM, if Mypoint pays out the offer,every 160 points is equivalent to a $1 so 17500/160=109.38 On a $98 sub. I paid 98+8.70 in tax for 106.70 and with aforementioned value I will be making 2.68 before losing another .30 for a paypal redemption. So essentially it’s free after rebate, not a MM.

Thanks. I was considering it for a $15MM but not interested for $2.68. Don’t need the membership as I rarely buy from WM, would only get it for the MM.

I don’t have a use much for Walmart plus either, but I’m getting in on the deal even though I have to pay seven dollars after the taxes charged because there are other benefits such as getting a free subscription to Paramount+ for the year and also getting a discount at Burger King and every quarter getting a free Whoppet and you get member gas prices at Sam’s Club and there are probably other benefits too. I guess each person has to weigh the benefits with the cost.

So I actually joined Walmart+ with the $1 today, $75 later offer.

Looking around my account, I thought maybe I could cancel Walmart+ and then rejoin, with a paid membership. But it said I would have Walmart+ for another 29 days.

Poking in the “Your Walmart+ benefits” section where it says “Give theses benefits a try” there was a curious benefit.

"Early Access to Pokémon Week"
It said “Paid members shop Pokémon merch 3 hours early, starting at 10am ET each day!” And there was a button that said “Switch to paid”.

I closed the browser, went to the MyPoints portal and clicked through the “Join Walmart+ for Free Delivery on $35+ And Earn Up To 17,500 Points!” In my Walmart tab, I clicked on the “Switch to paid” button. I was offered Walmart+ for $98/year and my trial would end immediately. I agreed to the terms and clicked on “Start paid membership”.

What a roundabout way for me to get to paid Walmart+ membership. Hopefully it tracks on MyPoints!

It must have been pulled I don’t see it on Mypoints or Swagbucks.

I haven’t checked MyPoints, but on Swagbucks I’m still seeing the offer. You go to shop and earn and then click on Walmart and then in the fine print you will see this offer.:

When I ty to join Walmart+ I see this message:
“Join today for just $1, then get your first year of membership for only $75”

There doesn’t seem to be any way to skip the 30-day trial?

So if my card is charged $1 today, then charged $75 after 30 days, would that still count for this offer?

Good question. I would assume it will still work, but couldn’t offer you a definitive answer. Just read the terms and conditions on the website carefully. I know the MyPoints offer specifically excludes half price memberships in the terms snd conditions for those on government assistance or students.

Yes, you can use those at the gas pumps. I don’t know if you can buy them for a nominal discount because I just have friends buy me them when I need them. I usually have them by $2000 worth at one time… I usually buy my gas at Sam’s Club because the lines are much much shorter than at Costco and much of the time the gas is a few pennies cheaper at Sam’s Club and at Costco, at least in my area.

I heard for Club members who bought affected gift cards within the past 90 days can bring them into the customer service desk at their local Costco and get refunded for any unused balance.

I have a lot of money in Costco cash cards I bought in order to get into the store and buy things without having to pay the annual fee for a membership. Luckily Costco cash cards are issued directly by Costco, so the bankruptcy does not affect me.
