Yes, I used the 40% off paper plates and other paper goods about a month ago. It was a great way to spend expiring rewards.

Paper plates are very expensive, so it was a deal to stick up on them at 40% off. I have made it a practice when I needing to spend my ink rewards that I review the current digital coupons first. Makes for some great deals.

The updated list included a few cereals I’ve bought recently. Some pages are showing a starting Best By date of 1/11/24 (the date of the new recall list), where the previous list said “all dates up to xxx”. It wasn’t clear to me whether that date is just the first non-expired date the announcement will cover.
But I filled in the form here https://www.quakerrecallusa.com/ and it didn’t ask anything about expiration dates.

When you’re buying products for offers that have specific sizes, a 20 oz. size in this case, only certain stores will make submitting receipts an easy qualifier. Walmart has the UPC and store code on the receipt (usually a guarantee) and Walgreens puts the size on the receipt.

A lot of other grocery stores don’t though - Albertson’s/Vons/Safeway is notorious for this and sometimes their receipts don’t even have the full name of the product or the product has an abbreviated name because the name is so short when printing. Ralph’s/Kroger has just the name on the receipt, IIRC.

This applies to a lot of receipts for sweepstakes and contests too.

@mistercheap I bought in 2021 and 2022. Cashed out the 2021 late last year 3 months after MY rate went below 5%, and cashed out the 2022 this week 3 months after MY rate went below 5%. The new iBond rate is over 5%, but since it’s tied to inflation, you have to make a guess if inflation is going up or down over the next few months. I’m guessing down, so I am putting the money into 12-month CDs with an APY over 5.5%. That way, I’m guaranteed the >5.5% return for at least 12 months rather than guess what the new six-month rate will be for iBonds.

The NEW ISSUE ibond rate is over 5% due to the guaranteed part, but people who bought in late 21 or early 22 don’t get that. they are getting 3.94%

You don’t even need to return the Quaker products to the store you purchased them from. Just click on the link in the article in the OP (I copied and pasted it below for the lazy) and you can tell them what you have, take a picture of the receipt OR the products, and they will mail you a check for the purchase amount. If you don’t have a receipt, the purchase amount is self-declared. I should be getting back around $20 (eventually).

A bit ridiculous for the judge to go by sticker prices - if the items were on sale, that’s the cost of the items, the judge should be disbarred. Whether or not to allow coupons into the calculation could be up to the judge, but the store can say each item is $1M and on sale for $59.99, is the judge going to use the $1M as the price?

I’m betting a competent lawyer will take this to appeal and win.

Although I guess you can do PM to get your cost to $110 or so and then the $10 off $30 to get it down to $100.

If you present the $30/100 first, rewards won’t come off after? if you give the rewards first, it drops your total below $100.

I’ve used $20 rewards certs in conjunction with the $10/30 many times, never been an issue. I give the $10 off $30 first, then the $20 rewards cert.

The $100 has to be OOP spend or you won’t get the $30 reward for later, IIRC.

Another thing that works weird with rewards is the % off coupons. They used to come off first, and now they come off after all coupons and rewards (when done in store). The 10% off online coupon works correctly.
